First read  “Born Again”  What’s That?  No. 1 below.

It is not difficult to to become a Born Again Christian. The Bible says that all we have to do is:

1.    Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he died for our sins, and believe that God raised Him to life again on the third day.

Rom 10:9  That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

2.    Confess to God that you are sinners and ask for His forgiveness and cleansing.     1 John 1:9  But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.

3.     Repent ( be truly sorry for your sins) and turn away from sin by trying your best not to continue doing what you know is wrong or evil.      Acts 2:38  Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.   (  I will cover Baptism in my next blog.

4.    Invite Jesus to come into your life and by the power of His Holy Spirit, to help you to live in the way He wants you to.     When His Spirit comes into you through your invitation, His Spirit regenerates your spirit giving you spiritual life.      He does not force Himself upon you, but waits for you, of your own free will to invite Him in to share your life.     Rev 3:20  Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

As soon as you have done this, you are “Born Again” born spiritually into God’s family, and God becomes your Father who is in Heaven.
