Amo 3:7  “Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets”.

Dan 12:4  “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.

1Thess 5:4  But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that this Day should overtake you as a thief”.

I believe God is opening the words of the book in the minds of His servants, revealing things until now not understood.   The answers are all there in God’s word, but we have to search them out if we are to understand.

I don’t think anyone would argue that we are in the end times. The question on Christians minds today is, when will the Rapture happen?    There is much controversy on the subject, so before I answer this question, I would like to elaborate a little on what I have said many times.     My whole Christian life has been based on taking the safest path when it comes to controversial doctrines.    The safest path will be the one that will keep you closest to the Lord at all times.   I don’t mind if I am wrong, because I know that I will still be safe.   The truth is that there are times when I truly hope that I am wrong, for the sake of family, loved ones and friends who are not even taking a safe path, let alone the safest path.

I have learned over the years, that God never asks or expects more of us, than He does of Himself, and the following examples of this, lay the foundation for my belief in the soon coming date of the Rapture.    To understand this fully, we need to realise that the High Holy Feasts that the Lord commanded Israel to observe throughout history, were merely shadows of the reality which the Lord Jesus Himself would fulfil.

The first feast was The Feast of Passover.     Jesus himself became the reality of what the feast foreshadowed, when He was slain on Calvary the day before Passover, at the very same time as the lambs were being slain for the Passover feast the following day.

The second feast was The Feast of Unleavened Bread.    Again, at the very same time Israel was getting rid of every grain of yeast, (symbolic of sin) out of their houses, Jesus was laying in the grave completely free from all sin, fulfilling the reality of what the feast foreshadowed.

The third feast was The Feast of First Fruits.   Once more, Jesus himself became the reality of what the feast foreshadowed, when He was raised from the dead on the very same day the feast was observed.

The fourth feast was The Feast of Pentecost, and again Jesus fulfilled the reality of what that feast foreshadowed, on the very day of the feast, when He sent His gift of the Holy Spirit to His bride the Church.

What I want you to note carefully here, is that in every instance,  Jesus fulfilled these feasts literally, and on the very day set by God.  So if Jesus continues to fulfil all of the final feasts literally on the day set by God, then if  my understanding and logic are correct, The Rapture is very close indeed.

The three final High Holy Feasts will not be fulfilled until the end of the age.   Understanding the feasts is vital to understanding end time events correctly.

The next feast, yet to be fulfilled, will be The “Feast of Trumpets” or as it is called in Hebrew “Rosh Hashana”.   This is  the day when the Jews look for their Messiah to come.     In Jesus day it was often referred to as the feast of “No Man Knows the Day nor the Hour”.   The reason for this nickname, was because this is the only feast which cannot commence until the “New Moon” had been sighted and witnessed by two witnesses in Jerusalem.    The reason for that is because it marks the beginning of the “Secular New Year”, and the Jews had to be certain they had the correct day.   Only when they were certain could the New Year legally begin.

The problem was that if it was raining or heavily overcast, they could not be absolutely certain they had the right day, so in that case the New Year could not commence until the following day.    Furthermore, not only could they not know the exact day, but neither could they know the exact hour the moon would be sighted, and until sighted, the feast day could not be proclaimed.

This law is still in force today, and all Jewish calendars still have Rosh Hashana 1 and Rosh Hashana 2 on the first and on the second days of their month of Tishrei.    So even today, the Jews cannot be certain which day will actually be the legal or secular commencement of their New Year.     It is believed by many that this is why when asked by His disciples, He replied, “No man knows the day nor the hour” thereby perhaps offering them a clue, if they could see it.

The Day of Atonement is the next feast on the Jewish calendar, and it comes 10 days after the Feast of Trumpets.   Known in Hebrew as “Yom Kippur”, The Day of Atonement is the day Messiah returns to the earth to save the Jews from being wiped out; it is the day spoken of in Zechariah 12:9&10  “It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. v10 “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Me as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Me as one grieves for a firstborn.”   This is the day Paul refers to in Rom 11:26  “And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, “There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.”

The last of the High Holy Day feasts is The Feast of Tabernacles.     This is the day after Jesus has defeated all His enemies in the Battle of Armageddon, and has put down all sin and rebellion, and judged the surviving remnant from among the nations, the day when God “Tabernacles” or dwells amongst His people.   Zec_2:10  “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD”.

There was however another holy period that God commanded the Israelites to observe, “The Year of Jubilee”  Lev 25:8-17 if you want to read it.

Lev 25:10  And you shall make the fiftieth year holy, one year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee to you, and you shall return each man to his possession, and you shall return each man to his family.

Once again we see in the Old Testament, the shadow of the reality which will come later.   It has been calculated that God set the Israelites free from the oppression of the Egyptians in the first year of Jubilee, even tho it had not at that point in time been proclaimed as a year of Jubilee.     The Lord set them free and ended their slavery, setting them completely free to go back to the land which He had given to their forefather Abraham.   More than that they went with great riches and wealth from the Egyptians as payment for their years of slavery.

The Exodus Jubilee was only the shadow of things to come, as Israel was only set free from their slavery to the Egyptians.  When the reality of this Jubilee is fulfilled by Jesus, the Christians will not only be set free from the slavery of both sin and death, but will also be able to go to to their Father’s house, and to the inheritance they have in Christ Jesus.     As I have already mentioned, God does not command us to do what He does not do Himself, and the shadow of Jubilee as seen in Exodus, is about to become reality, very, very, soon, as once again, at the exact time which God foreordained, in the Year of Jubilee,   Jesus will fulfil yet another of the Holy Observances set by God for Israel.

As I noted in an earlier post, the Jewish Sanhedrin declared that this (Jewish) year would have been the actual “Year of Jubilee” as proclaimed by Ezra after the return from the Babylonian exile.

My opinion is that the “Rapture” will most likely occur this year, in the Year of Jubilee as set by Ezra after Israel returned from the Babylonian exile.   However I do not discount the possibility that it could be next year, which would equate to the original year of Jubilee as set down by God in Leviticus.

One reason I believe it will be this year, is because God seems to be working to Ezra’s year of Jubilee, and this can be seen in the events which have transpired during the past thousand years which have dramatically affected Israel at the time. The next year of Jubilee Fifty years from now will be too late! in view of Jesus’ comment in Mat 24:34 regarding the budding of the fig tree, referring of course to the Re-Birth of Israel as a Nation, Jesus said “Truly I say to you, this generation shall not pass until all these things are fulfilled”.

Another reason I believe it will be this year, is because of the speed at which end time prophecies are falling into place, for example, Russia and Turkey, almost at war with each other a week ago, today, best friends.   Turkey and the USA, allies in NATO last week, this week the USA kicked out of Turkey so Russia can take their place.   Turkey and Iran, also just over a week ago announced they are forging a new alliance after many years of  stand off between the two, as Turkey is Sunni, and Iran is Shia.   This is just one example of how quickly things are changing to line up with end time events.

The next High Holy Day feast for Jesus to fulfil, in order to fulfil the shadow and create the reality, is the “Feast of Trumpets” Rosh Hashana, the coming of Messiah.    This feast will commence on either the 3rd or the 4th of October 2016, give or take a day either way, to allow for time differences between Israel and where you live.   I believe this feast will herald the reality of the coming of Messiah for His Bride the church, as foreshadowed  by the Feast of Trumpets.

I also believe the coming of Messiah for His Bride will be the reality which fulfils the foreshadowed Year of Jubilee, and it will happen in this year of Jubilee.

Finally, Will it be this year? Or will it be next year? and does it really matter?   The bigger question is, if you die tomorrow in an accident, are you prepared?

Yes,  I am convinced in light of what has gone before, there is a 95% chance it will be this year, but regardless of whether you think this year, next year or five years time, I urge you to take the safest path, and stay close to the Lord every day.    Jesus said “Occupy till I come”  Luke 19:13  whenever that may be!

If this strikes a chord in your heart, then please pass it on to family and friends.

If you have any questions, contact me at  I will try to answer them.

By the way, Feast of Trumpets in October will begin the New Jewish year of 5777.  Does that mean anything to you?  5 = God’s number for grace,  7 = God’s number for perfection.   Triple 7 = absolute perfection.   God’s grace comes to absolute perfection in the redemption of His people in 5777.   Sounds good to me!

God bless, I hope to see you all very, very, soon.

  1. I like to call myself an end times agnostic. I understand that Biblical prophesy will be fulfilled, but I take the view that it will happen in ways and at times that we don’t realize until it is or has already happened. It’s what I call the Peter approach (Above all you must understand that no prophesy comes about by man’s interpretation. For prophesy never had its origin in the will of man but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit) I believe the Pharisee’s biggest mistake was in being absolutely certain they were right. They were so convinced they knew what would happen when the Messiah came that they completely missed it when He arrived in a way that blew their “prophetic charts” out of the water. I think many today are in danger of missing it for the same reason. We are so convinced that when Christ comes back, “this” is how it will happen.
Also, as a resident in Turkey and a freelance writer of current events I can say with a pretty fair level of confidence that your analysis of what is happening here is wrong. Right now Turkey is making temporary bedfellows of traditional enemies (Russia, Iran, and even Syria) and distancing themselves from others (like the US) for the sole purpose of dealing with what they see as their current enemy #1, the Kurds. The US has not been kicked out of Turkey. Trust me, I know. Not only am I a US citizen gainfully employed here but I spoke with someone from the local consulate just days ago. Yes, many expats have voluntarily left and the US government has given nonessential employees the option of skipping town from now until mid September (and that will likely be extended) but we still have a large community and official presence here. Things are seldom as bad as sensationalist media likes to make it seem.

    1. Hi Beejai, thank you for your reply. I think maybe you have missed the point of the article completely. I was not date setting, and if you read the end of the article again you will see that I was actually warning people not to be complacent and miss the event, as you say the Pharisees did when Jesus first came to earth. The fact is they should have known the timing of Messiah’s arrival from Daniels prophecy, but they missed it! We should also know the season of His coming as Paul himself said, “1Th 5:4  But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.” but many who are not watching may well be unprepared. God bless. Lex Cullen
