Reasons Why Jews Believe Messiah’s Return is Very Near.

The following are a few of the items I picked up recently re Jewish beliefs about Messiah’s soon coming.   I have cut and pasted relevant parts from the site and pasted the URL address to the site at the end of each article.  Some are very long & I do not necessarily agree with the content in the article myself, as it comes from a Jewish perpective about Messiah, not a Christian perspective.   Read on -:

To quote a recent news article titled Shocking Passover Blood Moon Predictions by Israeli Rabbi, “…this year in Israel is a Sabbatical, or shmitta, year, a time in which the land of Israel is commanded to be left fallow. notes a statement by the Sages in the Talmud which says, “In the sixth [year there will be] voices [of war], in the seventh [there will be] war, and at the end of the shmitta, the [Messiah] son of Jesse will arrive.”    An ancient compilation of texts known as The Yalkut Shimoni is cited in the news article Jewish prophecy suggests Messiah may be coming soon.

Many rabbinical experts (such as Rebbe Yonatan Gordon) believe he is supposed to take the throne this year, and predicted the Hebrew year 5775 as the year Moshiach would come to redeem Israel. We are now in Hebrew year 5775, which ends this September. So why doubt us and our proof if the other experts believe the same thing? It is becoming painfully obvious that time is running short and people must look at the information and evidence that has been discovered.   has the full article.

Former Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, has died. One of the Jewish world’s most revered religious leaders, Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri, claimed just before his own death in 2006 that he was visited by the Messiah.  According to Rabbi Kaduri, he was told that the Messiah would not return until after the death of Ariel Sharon.  Kaduri also wrote a note revealing the name of the Messiah that was not to be opened until one year after his death.   In 2007 the note was opened, spelling out Yehoshua as the name of the Messiah. The name of Yehoshua is theophoric (bearing the name of God) and is the longform version of the Hebrew name of Yeshua (which means “salvation”), or Jesus in English. According to some, “Yehoshua” also means “YHWH’s Gift” …see    for complete article.

A medieval Jewish prophecy regarding the coming of Israel’s Messiah appears to correspond to the current situation in the Middle East, Israel National News reported at the weekend.  A piece of rabbinic literature known as the Yalkut Shimoni touches on many future scenarios both for the nation of Israel and for the world. In its section on the biblical Book of Isaiah and the prophecies contained therein, a rabbi cited by the Yalkut Shimoni states:

“In the year in which the Messiah-King appears, all the nations of the world are provoking each other. The King of Persia (now Iran) provokes an Arab king and the Arab king turns to Aram for advice.”    That description closely mirrors Iran’s defiant nuclear program and the tension it is creating with Arab states, particularly Saudi Arabia. But what happens next? According to the Yalkut Shimoni:  If you want to read the whole article click on

A mystic rabbi living in southern Israel is urging all Jews to pray and repent as the third Blood Moon of a tetrad cycle approaches.    Rabbi Amram Vaknin, who similarly predicted the events of the Gaza flotilla and the Carmel forest fire in 2010, and Operations Pillar of Defense (2012) and Protective Edge (2014), warns that Israel is facing great judgment and potential danger at this time.     you can read more on this at

The final blood moon takes place in September this year on the Feast of Tabernacles.    There will be no more Blood Moon Tetrads on High Holy feast days after this September for another 500 years according to NASAs astronomy website.

Does it seem strange that the religious Jews believe that their Messiah is coming soon when so many of their Rabbis past and present seem to point to the end of 5775 as being the likely date for His return.    Another interesting comment I noted on one site was that this year is the year 5775 on the Jewish calendar, and it ends on Sept 13th.  They made a note that 5775 is perfectly divisible by 7 which is God’s number for perfection.     So I then got out my calculator and noted the 5776 is perfectly divisible by 8 which is God’s number for a new beginning.  Coincidence? possibly, but that only happens every 64 years.   Israelis know that the whole world is turning against them at this time, mainly because of the Arab Oil States, but also because of the Palestinian and Hamas debacle in Gaza.  Please note that nobody is setting concrete dates, and that includes myself.  These are suggested years only, and are based on the Jewish calendar, not our Gregorian calendar.
